Q & A's
- I get the message "error getting address for mail.cyou.com"?
This message occurs most of the time when a person has lost their tcp/ip settings, or is not connected to the internet. Most of the time, you can shut down your computer, turn it off and redial in to CYOU. Your computer must dial in to the CYOU computer to check mail. Your mail is stored on the CYOU computer until you dial in and retrieve it.- My attempt to check mail failed "at point 3 in pass"?
This is a password problem and means that you have entered your username or password in incorrectly or.....you have tried to set up a mailbox without first setting the account up with CYOU. When entering your username or password, make sure there are no spaces, commas or periods. Also make sure your password is in lower case. If you want to add an e-mail box, please e-mail the information to info@cyou.com. Once your e-mail box is added you will be able to check e-mail.- I start to download my messages and it times out after about the 5th, or 9th or 15th one etc.? Sometimes information will be corrupted and Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape will not decode the information. In this instance, the best thing is to download Eudora from www.eudora.com Eudora decodes messages many times when the others fail. The only other option is to have CYOU delete all the messages in your box and start fresh.
